I have been kicking around the idea to try some new areas to hunt that are 25 hours drive from my house. I usually drive everywhere, but had an idea (probably bad) about maybe flying to the hunt. How hard or bad is it to fly with all your gear and a hunting dog to go upland hunting?

My first concern is the dogs. I don't want to pack my dogs as cargo.

Has anyone had good experience with dog insurance? I've spent some time trying to do comparisons between companies, but none stand out as best.
