i'm getting old, and usually hunt with at least one other person. this year i can see some short hunts by myself out of state. has anyone tried the GPS locators that you put on the dogs collar, and can then locate from smart phone? i use the garmin 550+ for hunting.

I have a new puppy. In the past the breeder always registered the chip for me. This time he told me to register it. I am wondering if it matters where I register the chip. There seem to be several places online to register them.
