What’s Happening in December in Stampin’ Up!?

The short answer is LOTS! Here’s what to look out for in December.

New Mini and Saleabration Catalogue: I will be sending out the new 2024 January to April mini catalogue, along with the Saleabration catalogue. Names have already been submitted for my regular customers. Anyone who orders from me in December and reaches the $75+ free catalogue threshold (since May 1st), will get one sent out too. They are GREAT catalogues and you are going to want one. Digital catalogues will also be available on January 4th.

Customer Gifts: In December I am offering two levels of Customer gifts. When you spend $50 before postage (no host code necessary) you will receive a 3 card kit in the mail for me with everything you need except inks and sentiment stamps. This month’s kit will be masculine themed and we will be using the Trusty Toolbox DSP from the Saleabration catalogue.

If you spend $75 before postage and use the December Host Code, you will also receive my free embellishment of the month. Christmas Gift Card Holder: Fit 3 to one sheet of cardstock

I decided to make another Christmas gift card holder, because I needed some stand alone ones to include in Christmas gifts. I also had some mini die-cut trees left over from a previous project which I wanted to use as decoration.

For these gift card holders you can get 3 from one sheet of A4 cardstock. I have used Granny Apple Green cardstock together with the Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Instructions for making the Christmas Gift Card Holder

First, cut a sheet of A4 cardstock in thirds vertically, so each piece is 7cm wide by 29.7cm. Next score at 8cm and 20cm along the long edge. On the end with the 8cm section, use a 2 3/8 circle punch to cut away a curve. On the other end (the 9.7cm section) emboss with the Christmas Tidings Embossing folder and angle the corners.

Next use some Tear and tape on the 8cm piece to form the pocket for the gift card holder. Make sure the tape is close up next to each edge so there is still room for the gift card holder inside the pocket.

For the belly band to keep the gift card holder closed, I have used a 3cm strip of the Merry, Bold & Bright DSP. Wrap it around the gift card holder, trim to size and adhere together the ends together at the back.

The final step is to decorate the belly band. I just added three water coloured mini trees *cut using the Merriest Trees Dies) that I had left over from another project. I just added some clear rhinestone gems to the trees and the sentiment from Merriest Trees stamp set.

I’m really please how these turned out and now I have three ready to go when I wrap my Christmas gifts.

Stampin Up Gift Card Holder Card with Measurements

Today we are making a tri panel Stampin Up Gift Card Holder. We are using the gorgeous Winter Meadow paper and the Christmas Classics Bundle. Find these products in the 2023 September to December Mini Catalogue.

Measurements for Stampin Up Gift Card Holder

Firstly cut your piece of cardstock 14.8cm high and the length of a piece of A4 cardstock (29.7cm). Score at 10cm and 20cm which leaves the fist two sections 10cm wide and the 3rd section 9.7cm wide. This narrower section if the one that folds inwards first. Next you need 4 pieces of DSP 9.7cm x 14.5cm and one piece 6cm x 13.5cm. Finally you need 3 bits of cardstock. First one is 6.3 x 13.8cm and is the same colour as base card. Cut a second one 9.4 x 14.2cm in a coordinating colour (like Lost lagoon). Third piece is a piece of Basic White 9.1x 13.9cm. You can see the panels in the picture below.

This is after you open the front cover of the card.

Next you open the right hand side and get this view.

Tip for making the curved indent.

Now we want to make the area that allows you to tuck the gift card inside. First, adhere the smallest piece of DSP you cut, to the smallest DSP piece. Next use a circle punch to cut out a semi circle.

I have a good tip to add the look of a coordinating cardstock edge to this. Choose a Stampin’ Write marker or Stampin’ Blends the same colour as the mat. Put the marker nib against the edge and slant about 45′ towards the DSP and gently rub around the edge. Lastly, adhere this to the right hand inside panel of the card on the top, right and bottom sides. Tear and Tape is good to use for this as it’s extra strong.

Decorating the front of the gift card holder card.

Here’s a closer look at the front. Stamp the sentiment from Christmas Classics in Lost Lagoon onto Basic White. Punch out with a 2 1/4″ circle punch. Next punch a 2 3/8″ piece of circle of Blueberry Bushel cardstock, and cut another piece in the same colour 3.8 x 8.2cm. Die cut the small foliage piece twice in Lost Lagoon and once in Pretty Peacock.

Adhere the Blueberry Bushel straight to the card front, a little above the centre line. Next adhere the rectangle of Blueberry Bushel over the top, Finally the punched sentiment is adhered with Dimensionals over the top. Attach some silver Festive Pearls, the die cut foliage and a silver metallic bow (links to these items at the end of the post). The bow and foliage were attached with a glue dot.

Save with the Stampin’ Up Last Chance Sale

The Stampin’ Up! Last Chance Sale begins tomorrow (21st November). This is on selected retiring products from the 2023 September to December Mini Catalogue. You can download the PDF lists here, as well as the list of what products are carrying over.

Before I share the lists, here’s what you need to know:

Not everything is on sale (sale pricing is calculated on inventory levels), but the sale prices for the highlighted sections take effect early tomorrow morning (Tuesday 21st November).
Everything on the Last Chance list is now only available while stocks last.
Check the bundles – sometimes the individual items are discounted and that works out cheaper. Also sometimes bundles are listed but the individual items are carrying over. Those are the ones I am talking about in the next point.
Quite a lot is carrying over, and you will find those items listed on the carryover list below. Please note: where the carryover list shows the dies and stamp set are both carrying over beyond 3rd January, the bundle pricing won’t be. So if you want to save 10% on both of those items grab them before 3rd January.

So we are talking about the carryover and retiring products for THIS current mini catalogue. A brand new Mini Catalogue starts on 4th January (along with Saleabration). I’ll be sending the paper copy out to my regular customers in December and the digital copy will be available on December 4th.

Easy Stampin’ Up! 2023 Christmas Cards using a Circle Punch

Today I want to show you how easy it is to make some quick and easy bauble themed Stampin Up 2023 Christmas cards . All you need is a 2″ circle punch, some pretty Christmas paper and some coordinating trim. I have used Shining Brightly Specialty Paper for my cards. I just love that elegant Night of Navy and gold together.

Instructions for making these Stampin’ Up! 2023 Christmas Cards

Firstly let’s look at the card on the left. My card bases is one of the Brushed Gold cards and envelopes which is already pre-printed with that gorgeous gold foiling. Next us a 2″ circle punch to cut out 3 circles. Firstly cut one from gold adhesive glimmer paper then cut two from the gold foiled Shining Brightly DSP.

Next, addhere the self adhesive one directly to the centre of the card. Then adhere the two DSP ones slightly lower using Dimensionals. I cut three tiny strips for the Night of Navy strings and added gold metallic bows (from the Simply Elegant Trim pack). Finally I stamped the sentiment from Joy of Noel stamp set in Night of Navy.

Next look at the card on the right. Firstly, start with a top folding Night of Navy card base. Next cut a slightly smaller layer and emboss it using the Merry Melody 3D embossing folder. Prior to adhering that to the base card, tape two pieces of gold metallic thread to the top of the back. Fold these pieces over the card top and tape the other end under where the bauble is going to go.

Next I cut two 2″ circles from the Shining Brightly DSP. Adhere the right one directly to the card, and then the one on the left slightly lower using Dimensionals. Next add some gold metallic bows to each bauble using a glue dot. Finally cut the NOEL letters from gold adhesive glimmer paper using the Joy of Noels dies, and add to the card.

Stampin Up Night Divine 2023 Christmas Card

Hello friends. I am back again. I am really enjoying having a bit more time on my hands to get back into some regular blogging. Today I am sharing a 2023 Christmas card using the Stampin’ Up! Night Divine bundle. I am also using the Deckled Circle dies which made their debut in the 2023 September to December Mini Catalogue.

Instructions for making this Stampin Up Night Divine Christmas Card

Firstly, I started with a side folding Crumb Cake card base. The Designer Series Paper from the suite is called O Holy Night. It has a gorgeous colour combination of Night of Navy with Copper Clay, Pebbled Path, Misty Moonlight and Boho Blue. My base DSP piece is 10.2cm x 14.5cm, and the smaller piece is 12cm x 5cm. I adhered this smaller piece onto a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock the same size. Finally I inked around the edges with a sponge dauber and Pebbled Path ink. View all the products I have used today using the links at the end of the post.

Next I adhered one of the 6th largest Deckled Circle die cuts in Night of Navy to the left half. Make sure you leave a little of the rectangle still showing on the left edge., Before adhering this to the base DSP layer with Dimensionals, I tied some of the gorgeous Night of Navy and Gold Glittered Ribbon around the whole piece (over the top of the Deckled Circle.

Next I embossed the sentiment from the Stampin Up Night Divine stamp set directly onto the DSP. For the feature image, I die cut the advent scene from the Night Divine Dies in Crumb Cake. Then I adhered this die-cut onto some of the lighter patterned O Holy Night DSP. Next I die cut this with the 5th smallest Deckled Rectangle dies. I sponged the edges with Pebbled Path ink again too. I adhered this over the Night of Navy deckled circle, using Dimensionals. Finally I added three of the Adhesive Backed Star Trinkets.

All about the Deckled Circle Dies

I want to take a moment to chat about the Deckled Circle Dies. You can find them HERE in my online store. They are such a great investment and versatile crafting tool. The deckle edge on these dies mimics the irregular, uncut edge of handmade paper. There are 14 dies in the pack, and close enough in size that you can make circle frames. The largest die is 14.6cm diameter, and the smallest one is 2.5cm diameter. I thoroughly recommend them!

Stampin Up Rustic Christmas Countdown Kit Alternatives Video

Hello friends, today i am sharing some alternative projects I have made using the Stampin Up Rustic Christmas Countdown Kit. I really love this kit and the elements in it, but thought I would get more use from it using the elements this way. Firstly, let’s have a look at the kit as it comes in the box.

My Rustic Christmas Countdown Kit Christmas Cards

Here’s a look at some pictures of the alternative projects I have made using the kit contents. First up I made these three Christmas cards. I have used the Distressed Tile Embossing folder from the Stampin’ Up! September to December Mini Catalogue on each of them (view this and the other products I have used today by clicking on the links at the end of the post. The base cardstock is from L-R Mossy Meadow, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake, which all coordinate with the elements in the kit (Old Olive is another coordinating colour). For the sentiments, I have used the Brightest Glow stamp set which is in the Annual Catalogue as a carry over from last years Christmas releases.

Now, lets have a closer look at each of the cards. The twine is included in the kit. I love how it curls randomly to give extra texture to your card. The sentiments are stamped in Pebble Path ink. I have used one of the dies in Stylish Shapes to cut out the centre circle.

Next we have this one. Again I have used the Stylish Shapes dies for the sentiment. On this one you can also see how I used a sponge dauber to ink the edges of the embossed layer in Pebbled Path ink.

Finally we have this one. I think this is my favourite of the three cards. I love the way the twine curls around. You can see I have also inked the edges of the die cut bow. For the sentiment shape in this one, I just used a circle punch.

My Rustic Christmas Countdown Kit Memory Keeping Projects

I also used some of the elements in the kit to make a couple of memory keeping projects. The first is a 12×12″ scrapbook page about last Christmas night. I have added just two things on this one. The first one is some background stamping in Crumb Cake using the Joy of Noel stamp set. The second one is some strips of the Joyful Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper has four different designs with gold foiling. I have used the music patterned sheet on this one as it adds to the joyful theme of the page.

The second memory keeping project is a work in progress. I am making a December Daily like Christmas notebook, based on the theme of the projects started by Ali Edwards. I got a travellers notebook from Etsy and will have a double page spread for each day in December to record various fun things, traditions and notes. Here’s a look at the first three double pages I have prepared ahead of time. If you would like to follow along with this project in December with me, follow my Facebook Business page as that is where I will be posting the completed pages.

I think the pockets from the kit are going to be particularly useful. I have popped a few into cards for holding gift cards, and in this project I will use them for journaling, receipts or extra photos.

Again I have used the Joy of Noel stamp set for some additional stamping.

Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows Suite – 3 Quick Cards

Today I have 3 quick and easy cards for you featuring Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows Suite, which is one of the new Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusive products. These new products are all available to customers from today (Tuesday November 7th) until sold out.

What are Online Exclusive products?

Online Exclusive products are products Stampin’ Up! now release periodically through the year, which aren’t in catalogues. Currently they are being released in March, July and November. Stampin Up Meandering Meadow Suite contents and video.

Firstly, lets have a look at what’s in the Stampin’ Up! Meandering Meadows suite. If you love gardens, you will love this suite, especially the meandering Meadows Designer Series paper. It’s 6×6″ size and has 48 sheets (4 each of 12 gorgeous double sided designs). There’s also a gorgeous stamp set, coordinating dies (available as a bundle with the stamp set for a 10% discount as well). There’s also a coordinating ribbon and some beautiful adhesive backed dragonfly and birds embellishments. All of the products can be purchased individually or also as a full suite (which also includes the bundle pricing on the stamp set and dies).

In these projects, I have just used the Meandering Meadow DSP from the suite. I made a video giving you a closer look at the images on this gorgeous paper, as well as talking about these cards.

Card one.

Next, let’s have a closer look at each Meandering Meadows card. The first one is a birthday card. for the sentiments on all of the cards I have used Something Fancy stamp set and coordinating dies from the Stampin Up 2023/34 Annual Catalogue. I picked up the accent cardstock colours from the colours in the DSP. In this case I have used Crushed Curry for the die-cut heart (from the Radiating Stitches Dies which were a past Online Exclusive and are still available HERE in my online store).

Card two.

Next I have a sympathy card using the Meandering Meadows DSP. I think this paper is perfectly suited to sympathy cards because of the calming and nurturing effect of nature images and of course nature itself. My base card colour for this one is Bubble Bath, and I have used Bubble Bath and Lost lagoon with basic Gray stamping for the sentiment. I added some texture under the sentiment by adhering a double bow of Linen Thread. I think this is the favourite of the three cards because of the dreamy colours.

Card three.

Finally, let’s look at the third Meandering Meadows card which is another birthday card. I love the gorgeous scene in this one with the wooden fence and the path leading down to the water. The base card colour for this one is Fresh Freesia. I have combined two of the sentiments in the Something Fancy stamp set for this one, and added some texture with some Lost Lagoon ribbon.

Stampin’ Up! Night Divine Easel Card

Hello stampers. Today I have a 2023 Christmas card using the Stampin Up Night Divine stamp set. It’s an easel card for when you want to make something a little bit special. My Mum always loves when I make her fun fold cards to stand on her dresser where she displays her card (not sure this will be her Christmas card though!). The Stampin Up Night Divine bundle is part of the O Holy Night suite in the 2023 September to December Mini Catalogue. The DSP and adhesive stars are also part of the suite. Here’s a look at my easel card.

Initially it was the nativity scene dies that attracted to me to this suite. Then when I started working with it, I fell in love with the deep rich colours in the O Holy Night DSP. I also really like the large Christmas sentiments and the elegant fonts.

What is an Easel Card?

An easel card is a type of fun fold card that props itself up on a raised element inside the card (in this case both layers of the sentiment are raised with Dimensionals)

How do you make an Easel Card?

An easel card is very simple to make. A double layer cardfront with the bottom layer scored in the centre allows for the card to prop up as shown. The whole card folds down into a standard sized envelope.
