Hi,

My son purchased a 1983 XS650. Bike has been converted to cafe style.
Bike is fairly clean and looks like it was built pretty well.
Electric start has been removed. Had a small form factor Lithium battery under the seat, (Anti Gravity 401 Battery)
Battery was very low and would not even turn on the head lights. Bike would kick start/run with jumper pack....

Does anyone know whether I can remove and install new tappets without removing the rocker box? I'm hoping I can just remove the tappet covers and get to them threw there.

Watched a video on shop tips this morning and one of the recommendations was running your table saw via a foot switch.

Personally, I think this is a bad idea and safety hazard. Inadvertently stepping ON the switch and starting the saw, or foot slipping OFF the switch in the middle of a rip cut.

I would NEVER do such a thing and I'm the furthest thing from a Saf...

I replaced the butterfly shaft seals with these Suzuki seals they fit perfectly. Cost a dollar less than the Yamaha seal .....

Been chasing an issue with my '75 XS where when coming to a stop the idles drops to lower than 1k. Usually the bike then stalls. If it doesn't stall, or I blip the throttle to keep the revs up, the idle will slowly rise back up to where I have it set at around 1800 rpm (set high trying to compensate for the drop when stopping). Initially I thought it was a float height issue. So...
