On the eve of the NHL’s trade deadline, Steve Yzerman made his first move to bolster his team. David Perron, a familiar face, is returning to Detroit from Ottawa for a conditional draft pick. Perron suited up for the Red Wings in 158 games between 2022 and 2024. The now 37-year-old posted 103 points (41-62–103), and was a steady leader for a rebuilding team at the time.
