Camryn Kaufman scored a game-high 14 points and Moon Area used a fast start in a 53-27 victory over New Castle Monday night in a WPIAL Class 5A Section 3 girls basketball game at New Castle.

The Tigers, who improved to 6-8 overall and 2-4 in section play with the win, built a 20-5 first-quarter lead, partly on the strength of Kaufman’s seven points.
