I recently bought a vintage MA-1 jacket (first-generation Alpha Industries 8279D, contracted 23 December 1963, so I assume manufactured in the first half of 1964).

However, the listing photos were way too flattering - in reality, the sage green shell has faded completely. The nylon is also really dull and has lost all of its original sheen. I'm not sure ...

I bought a damaged RCAF Deacon Flight suit from a military antiques store with the intention of turning it into a flying jacket

I'm not well versed on original WWII USAAF flight jackets. So was wondering if you guys could tell me if this Werber B-3 is a original WWII piece?

According to the seller the leather is dried out in some places on the jacket but the zipper is present and working.
