CMHC Reports 407 New Homes in January

CMHC reports 407 housing starts in January 2026 in Greater Victoria. This is a 12% decline from 463 in December 2025, however one month is insufficient data to determine a trend. In January 2026, there were only 105 starts and the year ended in very high numbers.
