I used to have an RV7 that I never really used for IFR. Then, 14 years ago, I flipped to a Baron and flew a fair amount of IFR, which was easy, given the high mass of the plane... 5,100 lbs max gross weight. Now, my partner and I have sold the Baron and I've bought a soon-to-be-delivered RV9 with a great IFR panel... just wondering how comfortable you guys are with actual IFR in...

So I am countersinking my flap and aileron spars right now. I understand that the holes will be a bit knife edged in this .040" material but i am also ending up with out of round holes on the bottom. Does everyone have this issue? Should I get a #37 or #38 reamer and try to round out the holes?

Hey Guys & Gals, Your Data Plate is supposed to match the registration EXACTLY!

I continuously run across data plates that have a middle initial where the registration does not or vice-versa.

I also find too often where there is a mismatch between model designation. Such as RV8 vs RV-8.

Please pay attention to the details. The FAA does NOT...
