AMHERST, Mass. — The University of Massachusetts softball team (15-24) bested Brown University (11-20) 2-1, in a warm spring game on Sortino Field. Kelsey Blanchette returned to form in the circle and timely hitting was all the Minutewomen needed.

It marks the first career weekly accolade for both Merritt and O'Brien.
