LA GRANDE, Ore. – The UBC Thunderbirds (18-8, 12-3) were crushing the baseball all day Saturday, but had to settle for a doubleheader split with the Eastern Oregon Mountaineers (8-17, 5-10) at Optimist Field. The Mountaineers won the series opener 11-8, before the 'Birds bounced back in a big way with a mercy-rule shortened 23-5 seven-inning win in game two.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Playing on the road in Klamath Falls after field concerns caused UBC's home opener to be rescheduled, the T-Birds (14-10, 4-3) dropped a pair of close games, 4-0 and 2-1, to the NAIA No.2-ranked Oregon Tech Owls (25-3, 10-1) on Saturday.

ELMIRA, Ont. – Perhaps in the most brutal way possible, the UBC Thunderbirds have had their dreams of a national championship title dashed, falling 4-3 to the Université de Montréal Carabins in a quarter-final shootout at the U SPORTS Women's Hockey National Championship Friday afternoon.
