I know it is early but I’m heading to USNA this year and I’m trying to figure out what major I should go with.

Right now I want to either go Marine Corps aviation or try for a SEAL contract. Long term, I’m also really interested in going into politics (Congressman or Senator), so I’m trying to keep that in mind too.

I want to do a STEM major because I know USNA...

The kid is late-adding RPI to the NROTC decision-making process. As we are not on the East Coast, not overly familiar with the school and we're not going to be able to visit prior May 1. Anyone have any knowledge or experience (pro, con, in-between) about the school or the NROTC program there?
Also, any thoughts on being a re-apply to USNA from there?
