At my local men's shed at Cressing Temple Barns folks have been insulating the large converted milk-parlour with Celotex-type insulation in an attempt to make this old and draughty workplace a little warmer and whilst tbh the fabric of the building is in dire need of some serious maintenance the folks who run this largely Grade I protected site have bigger fish to fry so this AF...

Oiling or Waxing

I am working on non-food safe items like oak boxes, lime wood vases etc. I have used tung and walnut oil and once cured applied briwax . It tends to leave the finish rather dull so wondering if I actually need to wax after oiling. Any advice welcome. Thanks.
