Ryan North offers comic-making DC Comics webcast
Junior Library Guild announced that Ryan North and Mike Norton will host Super Stories & Super Dogs webcast on April 9 at 12 pm ET. Details of the webcast include: a live comic drawing demonstration by Mike North; tips for writing exciting comic storied from Ryan North; a behind-the-scene look at making Krypton: The Last Dog of Krypton; and a Q&A where event attendees can ask the creators questions.

Jim Dolmage honours uncle’s war story with new comic book
MuskokaToday.com published an interview with Jim Dolmage about his new comic book Real War Canada: The Night in Tilley’s Field illustrated by Alaire Racicot. During the chat, Jim spoke about his uncle Lt. Ernie Phair and his activities in World War II and how readers can access the comic book for free.

Richard Comely promotes Captain Canuck in advance of Calgary Expo
CTV News Calgary interviewed Richard Comely about his upcoming appearance at Calgary Expo (April 23-26) at BMO Centre in Calgary, Alberta. Richard spoke about the recent project featuring Captain Canuck and the current United States President and the media coverage the image generated.

Canadian creators to sign Mad About DC on April Fool’s Day
The Beguiling revealed that a boatload of comic book creators will be on hand at the Toronto store location to sign the new Mad About DC comic book on April 1 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Notable participants include Chip Zdarsky, Ryan North, Jim Zub, Ramon Perez, Benjamin Errett, Andrew Wheeler, Joseph Starky, Kagan McLeod, and Jay Bone.

Jim Zub goes compact
ComicM!X wrote that Dynamite Entertainment will be publishing Compact Editions (5.5 by 8.5-inch format) of their titles. The first out of the gate is Jim Zub’s Pathfinder: Dark Waters Rising in June that collects issues #1 to 6 with a bonus 10-page story and 30 pages of world building details.

Tate Bromball brings new additions to the Teen Titans
DC Comics published an interview with Tate Brombal about his new writing venture with the Teen Titans starting with New Titans #33. During the chat, Tate spoke about how he became involved with the title, what Teen Titans story was his first, how his previous writing experiences (including Batgirl) will help with this title, why he chose particular characters for the story and more.

Faith Erin Hicks in the spotlight

Angela Odusanya wins Readers Choice Book Award
In an Instagram post, Angela Odusanya referenced her Gold Winner announcement from the Readers Choice Book Award for Amelia’s Loose Part Art. With a 5 star rating, the award referenced the children’s book as ‘a perfect read for families, educators, and anyone who wants to nurture a child’s love for play and exploration’.
