Trying to give our contractor some notice, instead of me being a p***k and just phoning at the last minute. Never made haylage in such hot weather (it's for ewes). It was cut today, tedded it once today. Already drying out. Will have a contractor come and row it up and bale it (chop & 6 wrap), but trying to predict whether we'll need him tomorrow or the day after. Any though...

We have just driven right across France, and I was impressed by the quality and evenness of fields of OSR. I haven’t seen such even crops in the UK for years. This made me wonder whether there is a derogation for neonicotinoid seed dressings over there? Does anyone know the answer?
