2016 Subaru Outback transmission
Hello, I have a 2016 Subaru Outback with 134,000 miles. Has been having a whining noise for the past few months. I took it to the dealer today 4-14-2026. Was told it needs to have the transmission replaced for $10,000 . I just missed the extended warranty that they gave because this is a known problem.

2020 XT hood same as Base hood?

Stalls with cutch disengaged and in gear
I have a 2012 Impreza with 5spd manual transmission with 120,000 mi. Once in a while the car will stall with the clutch pedal in and in gear when coming to stop. If I turn the car off for a bit and restart, it runs like normal. Only engine code is for O2 sensors.

Clutch pedal feels fine, no fluid leaks.
