During games, when Diego Rizzi throws a boule he stands with his left heel resting on the back of the circle. Then, as he throws, his body moves slightly forward and as it moves his heel lifts slightly off of the circle. The result is that at the instant when he releases his boule, his heel is slightly above the circle and not actually touching it.
