I have always been led to believe that updating the TC front end to "modern" steering was impossible.

However in a recent web trawl I came across a TC for sale in the US. The pics supporting the listing include these, presumably showing a conversion from a TD steering rack and pinion set.

A friend has a 68 MGBGT and would like to replace the stock wheel with a smaller aftermarket wheel. Export 68-69 MGB's came with a collapsible column and a spline count of 5/8-36. The aftermarket hub's are expensive for this configuration and not that common. In 1970 the column's changed to 11/16-36 and hub's are plentiful. Is there any reason that I couldn't change it to a 70-7...
