When I first started turning a few months ago, I came across an article in the Library by David Washburn A.K.A "djwood1" about curved metal segmenting. I really wanted to try something like this so followed the tutorial and came up with my first crack at segmenting.

Wanted to ask the group if anyone has success in creating Rope Twists on a pen blank. With the demise of the Beall Pen Wizard along with the Legacy lathe I'm no longer seeing any viable way to create these Rope twists. They look fantastic and the machines of the past did a really good job with them, especially the Legacy Lathe. That machine costs into the thousands so unfortunat...
