There are so many different versions (Triangle, Ram’s Head, Civil War, Green Russian, NYC reissues, modern derivatives, etc.) from a wide range of makers.

So what Big Muff do you prefer—both in terms of circuit and specific make?

This is wrong on so many levels. First off, they are hideous. During the Nevermind The Bollocks days, Steve Jones used a Fender Twin and later a Music Man combo. When I saw him in the 90s he was using a JCM 800. These amps have nothing to do with that album or era.
