The team responded to a request from North Yorkshire Police to assist with a dog that had slipped 8 metres down a slope and was stuck on a ledge a few metres above the river. On arrival the team set up a twin rope system and lowered a team member to the ledge. Once the dog was secured safely it was lowered to the river below where two swift water…

A walker (M 27) walking the 3 peaks, struggling with sore knees on the summit of Ingleborough, called for assistance. The team were put on stand by and a small team headed off up the fell in the team’s ATV CRO 4. The Team were alerted by North Yorkshire Police to assist a local farmer with a pregnant sheep stuck on a ledge, on a small crag on the west side of Warrendale Knotts above Settle. The sheep had apparently been there a few days and had not self rescued. Following a reccy of the site with the farmer it was agreed we would attend the following morning to help the animal.…
