Former LSU softball standout and Atmore native Jalia Lassiter made her professional softball debut with the Texas Volts June 9 at the Oklahoma City Spark.

Lassiter is playing for the Volts in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL). She is listed as an outfielder.

During the 13-5 loss to the Spark, Lassiter scored one run and walked once.
