The Canadian women’s flag football team secured Canada’s first spot in the Los Angeles Olympics 2028 by reaching the final of the IFAF World Flag Football Championships presented in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The team achieved this feat by defeating Mexico 20-6 in the semi-finals. Earlier in the day, Canada dominated Austria 40-12 in the quarterfinals.
