STEPHENVILLE, Texas – Tarleton State Baseball is NCAA postseason bound, having clinched the WAC's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Texans won the WAC Tournament Championship on Saturday night, and they'll advance to an NCAA Regional.

For the second time in three years, Tarleton State Baseball is the Western Athletic Conference Tournament champion.

Tarleton State will face Sacramento State in the WAC Tournament Championship. If the Texans win the 5 p.m. game, Tarleton State wins the title. Tarleton State Baseball is back in the Western Athletic Conference Championship, securing a spot in Saturday's title game after defeating No. 2 seed California Baptist 5-3 on Friday at Hohokam Stadium.

The Texans have advanced to the WAC Tournament Semifinals for the second time in three years. Like 2024, Tarleton State beat Sacramento State in its WAC Tournament opener, then faced California Baptist. The Texans won that game, and two of three against CBU in the tourney that year.
