A fantastic day for sheep farmers in the Exeter livestock last week with the 54th Great Annual July Fair being what will undoubtedly be the largest sale of its kind in the Westcountry this year and included what will probably be the largest show of Suffolk x Shearlings of any sale in the UK.

The Suffolk Sheep Society is delighted to announce the results of the 2026 National Flock Competition. Philip Poole’s Salopian Flock is Overall Champion and winner of the Bristol Gold Cup.

This year’s competition once again showcased the outstanding quality of pedigree Suffolk flocks across the UK, with a high standard of stock presented throughout all categories.

The West and Central Scotland Club show was judged this year by John Gibb. A strong line-up of stock was presented across the classes, with exhibitors competing for top honours throughout the day.
