This sounds like a LOT of people dropped the ball. One woman is probably going to be permanently disabled as a result.

Many people who don't work in the field are blaming the doctor or the anesthesiologist, but I'm not. They trusted that the bag would come from the pharmacy with the ingredients on the label.

Question for those of y'all in retail, how do you determine if someone calling in a prescription is a legit physician and not just someone that googled that physician's NPI?

Also, it has been a while since I have used a paper script, but did those require an NPI on them? I don't think they did.
