Traditional beginner's method for 3x3 teaches to solve the white corners first, then the edges, but I feel like solving the edges first comes with more advantages. For one, after edges are solved, the turning to solve the corners is 2-gen and rotationless, and you also don't have to teach that edge insert algorithm with the rotation. Is this actually valid?

I’m slightly frustrated.
With the method I invented, CFBL, I achieved a personal best of 10.95. It’s true that I’m still not very good with cross and F2L, and my average times are around 19–20.
Anyway, I made a video—here it is. I hope it makes you reflect on the potential of my method, because I’ve been proposing it for years, yet it still gets almost no recognition.
