I finally decided to join after lurking for a while Glad to be here! My name is Jennifer (Jen) and I live in South Africa where it can be challenging to find equipment and ingredients and we sometimes have to make do which all adds to the fun.

shoot!! lol I bought a few. A few from nuture soap, one from california candle supply, one from flaming candle and candlescience but idk im obsessed with finding the best one. thing is I bought a soap from etsy and it smelled amazing but i cant find it. Yall point me in a good direction? Thank you all. I know its all personal preference lol.

I was mixing up a batch of lye solution today outside very well ventilated area and not directly over it and I could still feel my lungs hurting from breathing in some of the fumes. Hi. Regarding infusing (olive) oil with spices and dried botanicals for both colour and other potential benefits- how much spice or plant matter can I use? Would a 1-1 ratio of oil and spice/plant matter be too much in some cases? As long as the oils cover the spice/plant matter, does it matter what the ratios are?
