I was in a panic over oil dribble coming out of filler cap .
Tried to get the cap to seal a few different ways to no avail.
It eventually ruined the alternator.
Came up with this , lowered and leveled the long angled tube and put a k&n style filter on it .
No more oil , no smoke .
This old Perkins has 7,000 + hours and still fires right up .

I bought this machine as a basket case, the previous owner took the Kubota 1402 engine out to replace the rear main seal which he did. He was too busy to finish the job as he runs a busy tree service and bought a new machine.
Finding diagrams on the internet is proving a challenge can someone point me in the right direction for downloads?

I recently posted on this site, about using a Carrier Reefer motor, in a 743 Bobcat. The motor is a 2203 D.I. motor, replacing the 1703 I.D.I. motor. Have it in, after a bunch of modifications, and it runs just fine. Even have the manifold heater working on it.
A strange thing happened afterwards, while I was making sure things were working right. The oil filter blew apart....

Today I removed the 753 drive motor. I have the early version with 4 hex bolts that hold the housing together. When I removed it, I could spin the shaft by hand. I did a full re-seal, used photos and watched many videos and it was quite simple. Problem is I can no longer spin it by hand. Is that due to the new seals or did I get the rollers mixed up? not sure I should re-install...
