Join us as the sun sets for this Soane Late as we delve deeper into the stories and design of this unique Museum, house, and studio. The basement, ground floor, first floor, and exhibition galleries are yours to explore as you wander corridors lit by candlelight and lined by Sir John Soane’s vast collection including works by Canaletto, Turner, and Hogarth.

The Museum is especially striking at twilight and after dark when our expert guides bring the vast and eclectic collections to life with spotlight talks on their favourite artefacts, works of art, and stories from Soane’s life.

Admission includes a glass of prosecco or white wine in the Library Dining Room where Sir John Soane would have entertained the great and the good of Regency society.
Tickets are available for arrival at either 6pm, 6:30pm, 7:30pm. The event finishes at 8.30pm.
Please note this is a ticketless event. We will operate a guest list with your name and the number of tickets you have bought on the night.

FAQs - Soane Lates and Twilight Tours

We operate a ticketless guest list system for these events and do not issue physical or digital tickets. Your name and the number of tickets you have purchased will be on the guest list once you arrive. Please note that we may require you to show your payment confirmation at the door.

If you notify us that you would like to change the timeslot of your booking for the Soane Late or Twilight Tour with over a week’s notice, we will do our best to accommodate this request or provide a full refund.

Yes, but all bags will either have to be carried around the Museum in one of our biodegradable bags or stored in our secure cloakroom. Please note that large bags/rucksacks/suitcases cannot be stored in the cloakroom and are not permitted in the Museum so please do avoid bringing them.

Please do not bring any food or drink, besides water, with you to the Museum.

Soane Late tickets include one drink at the bar in the Library Dining Room. Additional drinks will be available for purchase – please note that we only accept card payments and may require to see your ID.

We encourage photography at these events, but please note that no flash photography or filming is permitted in the Museum. If our staff see you taking photos with flash or filming, you will be gently reminded of our filming and photography policy.

Under-18s are welcome to attend Soane Lates and Twilight Tours. Please note that Soane Late tickets include one drink at the bar in the Library Dining Room and a non-alcoholic option will be available. Additional drinks will be available for purchase – please note that we only accept card payments and may require to see your ID.

Stiletto heels are also not allowed inside the Museum due to delicate flooring and grilles in certain areas. Guests wearing heels may be asked to wear rubber covers or remove their shoes.
