You thought God called you to be an artist, but these days, you’re not so sure and you’re thinking about giving up. If that’s you, then this message is for you.

Maybe things haven’t happened as quickly as you expected. Doors haven’t opened. Your art or business isn’t growing the way you hoped. You’ve been faithful for months—or even years—and you’re beginning to wonder, “Did I miss God? Am I on the wrong path? Should I just give up?”

God wants to encourage you today: don’t give up yet.

In Psalm 27:13–14, David reveals what kept him from losing hope in the middle of disappointment and uncertainty: he believed he would see the goodness of God in the land of the living.

And then he gives us the key:

“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart.”

Waiting on God doesn’t mean sitting still and doing nothing. It means looking to Him with expectant hope, standing your ground when circumstances tell you to quit, and allowing Him to strengthen your heart as you continue faithfully stewarding what He’s placed inside you.

If you’re a Christian artist who feels discouraged, behind, overlooked, or unsure about what God is doing in this season, I pray this video reminds you of the truth:

God is still working. Your calling still matters. And this is not the time to give up.

Keep your eyes on Him. Keep creating. Keep believing. And keep going.
