A MAN who brought drugs with a potential value exceeding £125,000 into Shetland has been jailed. Marc Kerr, from Muirhead, admitted being concerned in the supply of cocaine and heroin after being stopped by police on 29 November 2024 at the Holmsgarth ferry terminal in Lerwick.

GEESE striking an overhead power line may have been responsible for 3,500 homes losing power in Shetland this morning (Tuesday). A large number of homes across the isles lost power at around 9.30am this morning, with SSE saying that parts of Scalloway and the South Mainland were affected.
