‘Special’ day in store as musical cultures set to mix at Mareel
A MELTING pot of musical flavours will be on show at Mareel tomorrow (Saturday) as acts from Shetland and Orkney mix with peers from Argentina. Rumbo North Isles will see live music run from 3pm to 9pm in the venue’s auditorium, with ticketholders able to come and go in the cabaret set-up.

Aith lifeboat launched to aid boat with fouled propellers
THE AITH lifeboat was launched to assist a small recreational boat with fouled propellers on Thursday afternoon. The Charles Lidbury was launched at 12.25pm at the request of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency to go to the aid of a boat near the vicinity of the Clair oil field.
