Hannah McConnell

Wicklow-born singer-songwriter Hannah McConnell blends folk, indie-pop and rock influences to create emotionally rich and deeply personal music. Her debut EP Fractures was released in September last year and is a collection of songs exploring heartbreak, grief, identity and healing.

Closing the EP is ‘To Hold’, an atmospheric track built around interweaving guitar lines and introspective lyricism. Exploring the uncertainty and emotional complexity that comes with personal growth and self-discovery, the song captures the feeling of standing on the edge of a new chapter while reflecting on everything that came before.

Angel Wong

Drawing influence from a remarkably diverse musical background, London-based artist Angel Wong crafts pop songs that are rooted in strong melodies and thoughtful songwriting. Having spent years performing within London’s jazz scene, she has returned to her first love of pop music, bringing with her influences that range from Whitney Houston and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Bach and Thelonious Monk.

Her debut single ‘Hide n Seek’ is an elegant synth-pop offering centered around a love so consuming it follows you into your dreams. Balancing euphoric production with emotional vulnerability, the track serves as an impressive introduction to an artist with a distinctive musical voice.

JAIDA F*CKS TH3 B3AT

Brazilian producer and DJ JAIDA F*CKS TH3 B3AT is making waves in the underground electronic scene with her latest release, ‘ALOKA’. Combining the intensity of UK bass music with the energy and attitude of Brazilian funk, the track showcases a unique fusion of influences rarely heard together.

Driven by distorted basslines, sharp percussion and infectious vocal hooks, ‘ALOKA’ is designed for maximum impact on the dancefloor. Speaking about the release, JAIDA describes it as an attempt to blend “the aggressive energy” of UK bass with the “chaotic spirit and attitude” of Brazilian funk culture, creating something intense, fun and unapologetically rave-focused.

Lost Velvet

Reading-based alt-rock duo Lost Velvet unveil their latest single ‘Burnt’, a propulsive, cinematic slow-burn that captures the quiet ache of relationships running out of road.

Following the immersive weight of previous single ‘Dark Cells’, ‘Burnt’ pulls back the distortion without losing the intensity. A steady, insistent bassline anchors the track from its first breath, propelling it forward with understated force, while layers of shoegaze-inflected guitars and intertwining vocals create a sense of intimacy amid the erosion.

“Burnt is about the moment you realise there isn’t another beginning waiting,” the band share. “It’s about accepting when something has run its course rather than trying to force it back into life.”

Dimblue

Dimblue is the solo project of songwriter Serena Curatelli, whose music combines folk-inspired songwriting, lo-fi textures and introspective lyricism. Creating music that embraces fragility and imperfection, her work often explores the quieter emotional moments of everyday life.
