It is great, just not enough provided to subscribe again. As of right now I think F360 offers more bang for the buck, but I hate most of the workflow. Shapr’s IS better in workflow and GUI. Food for thought and maybe as an inspiration.

I tried different approaches to organic. Because of the lack of predictability and precision I resorted to simple bodies, subtraction, additions, and a lot of rounding, chamfers, and fillets. Many trials and errors and back-to-drawing-board to get it right.

Is there any way to change the default unit or have it remember the last unit when exporting to STL? Currently I’m designing in inches, but everyone seems to want it in millimeters and I have to remember to change it each time.

The more cross sections the better depending on the complexity of the shape. Other features can be added later and blended with e.g. fillet tool. Like the knob-like protrusion on top of your example.

Take your initial shape for example. I might draw vertical spaced lines to attach planes to. Then sketch the cross sections on them. This image should help convey my method.
