I have a number of chisel (and hammer/mallet) handles that are loose after moving them from Ohio to Arizona several years ago. It seems like I have two choices for tightening them. Epoxy or chair repair “swelling glue”. Your thoughts on which is the better choice? How about specific product choice?

I have a small QS white oak project that I’d like to apply a mission oak finish to. I don’t want to go the trans tint process with this; I’m looking for a gel.
