The way I learned deer hunting was to drag out killed deer and rush them to a butcher. It sucks, especially for kills at dusk 1+ mile deep after starting since before sunrise. It’s exhausting, time consuming, and expensive. (In my area of PA, $200+ is relatively common for a good size deer.) I am thinking more and more of deboning or quartering when gutting.
