I’m loving Reading’s resurgence as an escape room destination, and Mary’s Curse is another great addition to it. I’m intrigued to see how this venue develops, but it’s started strong and the potential for something really quite special is huge!

This is a fun, puzzly game, and I can see why it’s so highly rated in the UK. A couple of big puzzles that relied on colours tainted it a little for me, but I’m not normal. We’ll definitely be back to check out their new game, which we just missed opening.

Alien Encounter is the stand-out game at Pier Pressure Bracknell and I can see why enthusiasts love it. We didn’t gel with it like we were expecting to, but it was a fun game, with twists-and-turns a-plenty! This is a game that won’t be a standout for many players, but the puzzles were fair and we had an enjoyable time. It felt like our experience ended a bit anti-climacticly, and also rather abruptly, but maybe I missed something of the story?
