Beverly Ann (Osberg) Ruch

Beverly Ann Ruch (Osberg), of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away at the age of 78. She was born on November 26, 1947, in Omaha to Harold and Elizabeth Osberg, and was raised in Omaha, Wichita, Kansas, and Salina, Kansas before her family returned to Omaha for good. She graduated from Omaha Mercy High School and Creighton University. She was preceded in death by her parents and many aunts and uncles.

On November 25, 1971, she married Ken Ruch in Omaha. Their marriage spanned 55 years, until her passing. Together they raised four sons: Brian (wife Jeannie; children Reece, Keinan, Olivia and Aidan), Daniel (wife Jen; children Kobe, Logan, Brynn and Kayden), Mark (wife Molly; children Chase and Kellen), and Kevin (wife Katie; children Quinn and Nick). She is also survived by her brother, Chuck Osberg (wife Kathy; son Ryan), and her sisters, Jan Osberg and Kris Pettit (husband Mark; children Michelle, Molly and Kalli).

Beverly worked as a Medical Technologist at Bergan Mercy Hospital for 30 years, spending 10 of those years overseeing special chemistry, followed by 18 years as a Physicians Lab account manager. She retired on May 1, 2018.

A proud mother to her four sons, Beverly was the family's devoted documentarian, keeping handwritten records of their childhoods and sports careers. She loved traveling the world with Ken, along with their friends of 55 years, Jim and Suzy Ryan, and cherished the many family trips to Colorado. She was a passionate reader of every genre. A cancer survivor, she was known for greeting everyone with a warm smile and her friendly, outgoing spirit. She enjoyed a good glass of wine and good conversation, catching up with friends, family, and grandchildren. An avid golfer and hiker who loved long walks, Beverly was always up for an adventure — whether white-water rafting, walking solo on Mexican beaches, or walking her kids' pit bull terriers. A longtime parishioner of Mary Our Queen, she also loved movies, concerts, sporting events, and live shows.

Beverly was a strong supporter of her twelve grandchildren in all their endeavors. She was, by all accounts, the most extraordinary mother-in-law — the standard by which all others would be measured.

We loved you so much and will miss you.
