Brickvention is Australia's premiere LEGO event. It is held in Melbourne in January and attracts thousands of visitors each year. For those of you who Melbourne is a little far to attend, I hope this blog post can give you an idea about what it is like! These days Brickvention is held in the heritage listed Royal Exhibition Building.

When the June wave of sets was revealed, this one immediately caught my eye. Bright vibrant colours, with an elegant tori gate, and mechanism to boot? Sign me up. Then I learnt it was designed by Lee Chi Wing , who mostly works on Ninjago and has been delivering some fantastic sets. Let's take a closer look at his first non-ninja related set.

Another look at SMART Play. This time the throne room, or better known as the SMART Play set with the brick that is more than a ship. This time we get 2 bricks! Lets find out if more = better. Being the fourth SMART Play review (and not the last btw!) I'm not going to talk about the electronics here. You already know enough about that bit and we'll go into it more later.
