I purchased a valid ticket in my own name using my credit card and held a valid railcard that matched the ticket. I travelled for the entire journey with the ticket in my possession, and it was checked on the train without any issue.

In the past, on arrival passengers have had to board a coach and be taken to a gate between immigration and customs, as arrivals from the Channel Isles do not need immigration checks, but have to go through customs.

Seeing as there is a 25% off sale at the minute. Can I ask a question as to how do these passed work?

If I buy the 4 days in a week pass for travel in France or Spain does that give me the freedom to just get on any train at any time of day?

The prices seem really reasonable.

Report from BBC of a pasenger's hand getting trapped in a train door and then being pulled along by a train when it departed. The train was brought to a halt before it had gone far (reportedly around 17m). The RAIB are aware of the incident.
