Hello!

I have been perusing this forum for the past year and am finally joining. I was always afraid of rabbits for some reason but decided last year meat rabbits was the way to go. Haha

We keep 2 bucks and 2 doe, each in their own hutch. I just had my first kindle and am awaiting my other doe any minute now! I am looking forward to all future interactions!

She was a gift from my mom for my daughter. I know nothing about her parents. Look at those weird whiskers! Maybe she's rex, but it's hard to tell for sure. The eyes tell me she's definitely vienna marked, and not just broken. I think cream is more likely, but maybe lynx? What do you think?

My English lop doe is on day 31. She has a significant weight gain, and without palpating I can put my hand on her belly and feel a kit. She has been sitting in her nestbox and poops in it for hours, then hops out. I did breed her over a two day time frame, so could the due date be off? I have two does, both were put in with the buck together and are both in the same hutch now. They both seem to be bonded to each other, but I would still like confirmation that they aren’t going to kill the babies, or each other? I’ve seen on multiple websites that does are known to duo parent, I’ve also had a bun that raised babies that weren’t hers…just trying to clear up some...

Normal???
Processed rabbits this weekend and noticed red spots on the lungs. Once I noticed them , I saw them on the remaining 4 or 5 I processed.
Does this look normal, or is there an issue?
