⭐ Alluvial Show n Tell

Took a pic for you all when I emptied my snuffer bottle this morning. about 4grams of yellow and a few little sapphires, from a couple of halfassed days in northern nsw. Can't really see it in the pic but a lot of it has mercury on it, most is extremely fine.

Lithium battery fires

What is causing the rising numbers of fires involving Lithium batteries?
Just last week we had two in WA, very fortunate that a neighbour was able to rescue a young girl from one of the fires. Tragically their beloved pet dog could not be saved.
