This week at bookmaking I shared my method of making a little book using a cereal packet for the cover. After it was decorated and folded, the pages were sewn in using a simple pamphlet stitch. We had an enthusiastic group of bookmakers who enjoyed the morning.

For collage this week I presented my stash of vintage papers and maps which form the basis of some mixed media works. The age of the paper, images from the past and maps showing changing borders and nations spark memories and emotions. Combining these pieces into cards for the Preservation Exhibition was an enjoyable way to use aged ephemera!
