A group of members gathered at the studio to blow bubbles – not a recognised
technique in papermaking but a novel way of decorating paper.
We mixed a small amount of sumi in some dishwashing liquid in a cup and in a bowl. Then we blew into the mix through a straw and the bubbles appeared. They were quite different sizes and shapes...
Our open day was a great success with many visitors. We had demonstrations of gelli printing, paper making, collage, printmaking and bookmaking. Our exhibition “Paper Power” was very well received by everyone who attended. Many thanks to the members who contributed their time and skills to making the day a success.
