Portland State Athletics had 39 student-athletes recognized as Academic All-Big Sky Conference honorees for winter sports as released by the league today. Among winter sports teams, the women's indoor track team had a 3.56 GPA, followed by the Big Sky Conference Champion Men's Basketball team at 3.42. Women's Basketball had a 3.27 GPA and Men's Indoor Track was at 3.22.

The minimum required GPA to be named an All-Academic Team from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is 3.2. Every single member of the Portland State men's tennis cleared that bar – seven also cleared the 3.5 GPA minimum to be named ITA Scholar-Athletes – as the Vikings earned recognition for the fifth time in program history.

The Portland State Women's Tennis Team has once again excelled academically, earning an All-Academic honor from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for the seventh year in a row. Alongside the team accolade, five members of the Vikings were recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes.

The Portland State Vikings Women's Soccer team will open its season with a bang, hosting the Big 12's University of Oregon at Hillsboro Stadium. That match comes on Aug. 13 and is the first of eight home matches in the Vikings' 17-match schedule in 2026.
