Down to the River (to pray)

We’ve had a break from watering whilst staying at the Slimbridge Wetland Reserve for a couple of nights. We were staying in ‘Chiffchaff’; one of five very well equipped shepherd’s huts in Warblers Meadow. Such a lovely spot.

Don’t panic - there’s no emergency! The title is because this is blog post number 999 - my (mostly) allotment diary since 2011. Oh, What a Night
I’m happy (Jamie less so!) that courgettes are on the menu - still managing to pick small at the moment - along with shallots and our first two tiny tomatoes.

Not Perfect

What an exhausting week! Daytime temperatures exceeding 30° and nighttime temperatures hovering around 20° Phew, it really was too much, especially with my lingering cold 🤧
