Radio crackle
I have a 65 Cherokee 180. It has a 430w and a kx155. The radio gets a kind of crackle sound while you key the mic. It only does it with the engine running, but it doesn’t change with rpm change. It also on both radios and when keying from either push to talk button. Any ideas?

Anybody know what this is?
I am fighting a problem with my radios. I have a crackle when I transmit with the engine running. It does not change with engine rpm. I’ve been looking for grind issues and found this thing. It was only attached to the switched side of the master relay and the other side didn’t go To anything. As you can see it’s corroded pretty heavily. Any idea what it is, where it’s supposed ...

"Interesting" Destinations
The plane that Matt was to fly today was enroute to Puerto Vallarta (a seaside resort in Mexico) when an attack was made on the drug cartel leader El Mencho. I think the Mexican army was involved. It is quite a battle and El Mencho was killed. Anyway the plane was diverted to a different city, and is stuck there.
