I think that pain is intrinsically bad, and that therefore an action that causes pain is to that extent instrumentally bad, and if the action is done knowingly and freely, it is morally bad, i.e. evil. Catholics who support abortion are not following the Catholic moral code or they're invoking some nonCatholic moral code in it's place.How could it not be both?
