Grips and barrel configuration changed over the years. This one is circa 1980. Checkered grips and scalloped rib. Not sure when they started putting the scallops on the barrel rib.

I picked it up today. I was able to sell a 45 Colt New Vaquero, safe queen that I had laying around and seldom used, today. So that helped ease the pain of the purchase some. Luckly, I did manage to purchase it for about $300 out the door less than the suggested retail price. My gun is #45 out of 200, I didn't even notice that till I got it home.
