A year and a half later, on August 28, 2023, Nick proposed in their New York City apartment, a few days before a trip to Greece that most of their friends and family had quietly decided was going to be the proposal. It was not. It happened at home, before anyone got the chance to guess right.

As a New York wedding photographer, I have shot a lot of 620 Loft and Garden weddings. It is one of the few rooftops in Manhattan where the skyline does the work for you. St. Patrick’s twin spires sit right there at eye level, Saks is across the way, and the whole of Fifth Avenue hums seven floors below. Most couples let that view carry the day, and it is more than enough.
