The Domestic Drains NORA92 British Cup powered by Dirtbike Express heads to Gossington Motoparc at the end of August for the fourth and final round of the 2026 championship.

After three rounds of close racing across a variety of venues and conditions, there is still plenty to be decided. Ahead of the finale, we caught up with championship organiser Carl to reflect on the 2026 season, find out what we can expect at Gossington and get a few early hints about what could be coming in 2027.

Who do you think will win?

“There are some close battles in a few groups. One mistake could cost some riders big at Gossington. It will be exciting to watch the racing unfold and possibly go down to the last race…”

With championship battles still open across a number of classes, the final round could deliver some of the closest racing of the season.

What are your thoughts on the year?

“This year has been a huge success. We have amazing venues, a stacked field of talented riders and an awesome atmosphere at each round.

Being able to offer such a huge prize pot of over £30k makes us the only championship in the UK to pay adults through to kids prize money. This has its own appeal and I hope most people who have attended our events can see that we are trying to give back to the sport as much as possible.

We appreciate all of the continued support and have our sights firmly set on improving the series even more in 2027.”

What has gone particularly well?

For Carl, it’s not one individual element that has made the championship work:

“It just works. My team, the racers, the venues, the people and the atmosphere. It’s a great place to be.”

Have any particular rounds or riders stood out?

One of the aims of the British Cup has been to create a national series that challenges riders across different types of tracks and terrain.

“Every venue has provided something different and that has shown with certain riders shining on different soil. That’s always the plan with a national series, to ensure we have variety to suit different riders.”

What has been your personal highlight as organiser?

“The entire series. It’s full of energy and feel-good vibes at every round.”

Any teasers or changes ahead of 2027?

While there’s still one very important round of 2026 to go, work on next year’s championship has already started.

“We are constantly looking at ways to improve the series. We already have the biggest prize pot in the UK and we will of course try our utmost to continue to be the highest-paying series whilst keeping entry costs as low as possible.

There may be some group changes next year, with various ideas being discussed.

We are already in talks with venues for 2027 and confirmation of these will be released as early as we can.”

One Round Remains…

Before attention turns to 2027, there are still championships to be decided.

Gossington Motoparc will host the final round of the 2026 NORA92 British Cup at the end of August, with close points battles, more prize money on the line and potentially some titles being decided in the very last races of the season.
