To support the development of your SAP BDC skills we offer a learning journey that comprises a series of courses and ends with a certification.

The SAP BDC learning journey was first released in the spring of 2025 and the courses it contains have undergone incremental adjustments as new features were added. But things move fast in the land of SAP BDC and so for the latest update, we decided not to simply adjust and add more content to the existing courses, but to completely rewrite them!

The learning content is now organized in a simpler and more logical structure so it is easier to follow and includes the latest features and innovations of SAP BDC. In the update of the learning journey, we added two new courses and retired a course.

Let's break the learning journey down into its components:

BDC100 - Introduction to SAP BDC (1 hour)
BDC100 has been around since the launch of BDC (February 2025). This course covered the very basics but also got quite deep on the technical topics. Not everyone needs to go deep into the technology, so we decided to break this course up. The updated BDC100 is a short and easy-to-follow course for those who just want to know "What is BDC?, why do we need it?, and what are its use-cases?". The new BDC100 stays away from the technical details so the course appeals to a very wide audience. Everyone should start with BDC100 to develop foundational knowledge regardless of your role..

BDC150 - Developing Detailed Knowledge of SAP BDC (2 hours)
If you want to go deeper, we now have a brand new course: BDC150. This course follows on from BDC100 and goes into the technical details. It covers how to setup BDC using the provisioning tools, and then in gets into detail with data products and intelligent applications. You will learn how to install and extend data products and intelligent applications with cool demos and even guided exercises.

BDCBW1 - Transforming SAP BW with SAP BDC (3 hours)
This course has been around for quite a while but we rewrote it from scratch with a new easy-to-follow structure. The course focuses on the SAP BW transformation journey in detail and brings things up to date.

BDCODE - Open Data Ecosystem of SAP BDC (1 hour)
This is a brand new course that covers how BDC integrates with partners solutions such as the data sharing platforms: Databricks and Snowflake. The course covers the integration of partner solutions that add extra capabilities to BDC, such as Collibra for cataloging and Data Robot for out-of-the-box AI modeling. The course introduces BDC Connect and explains how to set it up. This course replaces the previous course BDCDBX which focused only on SAP Databricks integration. The open ecosystem of SAP BDC is much more than the integration of SAP Databricks, and the new course covers all aspects.

Get Certified - C_BCBDC_2506
As well as the four courses, we also completely rebuilt the Get Certified AI-powered role-play exam. Riley Bennet (the friendly AI) has studied the four new courses in great detail and she will now ask you questions from the content. In the new role play, Riley helps you keep track of your progress by clearly announcing each topic and the question number, so you know where the finish line is! Expect to be in the role-play for around 30 minutes. Don't forget - you need to provide thorough answers to her questions to achieve a pass. Short, single sentence answers just won't do. Attend our Get Certified Live Session series for detailed advice and guidance from the experts who created the exam, to learn how to talk with Riley, which will increase your chances of passing first time with a great score.

Stay Certified - C_BCBDC_2506
Your certification is valid for one year. To ensure you do not lose you certification status you need to take the Stay Certified exam before your certification expires. Stay Certified is a short exam with just a few multi-choice questions across all BDC topics from the four courses (we plan to move the Stay Certified exam to an AI role-play, in the near future but for now it remains multi-choice questions). Make sure you thoroughly study the four courses even if you already followed the previous versions - things have changed in SAP BDC and the questions will cover topics that were added to the updated courses.
